We even used to save the tin foil trays and make our own T.V dinners outta left overs with them.
But then my Dad couldnt cook more than a radish sammich, my mom worked late and I had chores to do so it was either fud in the tin foil at 350° or nuthin while we was watching Walter Cronkite.

"""We even used to save the tin foil trays and make our own T.V dinners outta left overs with them."""
When my sisters and I cleaned out my parents house after Mother died and Dad moved to my oldest sister's house, we found what seemed a thousand of those trays. Mother not just kept them, she reused them, filling them with leftovers from any big meal she prepared. Oh, and Butcher, she was an Oswald, both her parents having been born in Germany.

Is it just me?......or did the old TV dinners from the 70's actually taste decent back then? I made the mistake of buying one of those a year or so ago when the wife was gone. The picture on the front made it look delicious. Needless to say I ate about 2 bites and it went into the trash after the dog wouldn't even eat it. I ended up going to town and ordering beef potroast at the local café.

The modern day, microwaveable TV dinners even smell bad. Stink up the whole house. Ain't no way I'll ever eat one. I'd rather have a peanut butter sandwich.

Now a days it is just a bunch of yuck with 2 pieces of some kinda foreign meat matter in them covered in the most God awful gravy. We dont eat much of them fast fix type foods but some times it is just to easy after a hard days work.

I bought some sliced bologna a couple of weeks ago and it had no taste either. They don't put enough salt in anything, they've taken out all the good fat and anything else that has taste. I guess Mooshell must have had an influence on that. I sure miss old Walter and his commentaries, back when the media reported news instead of spreading rumors.
