what wore me out more today. Splitting wood or the 40 mph winds I was doing it in. Got some inside work to do but it is going to rain tomorrow so I thought I would do some stuff in the sunshine today.

The wind will beat you up and give you a wind burn to go with it in the early spring.

lets see, we hauled some tree limbs to the city burn pile, with a dump trailer, we used the skid steer and grapple bucket to load, half mile down the road. We averaged two + loads an hour, put two new wheel/tire assy on the front of the toro groundsmaster mower, put a new wire wheel and grinding wheel on my pedestal grinder, paid some bills, tomorrow afternoon a couple of fellas are supposed to come look at my 560 farmall and gehl 100 grinder mixer. I'm thinking about taking a couple of days off next week miserable dandelions are starting to bloom----

I like dandelions! Mom used to gather them and cook them up with a yellow gravy, kinda heavy on the vinegar. I donât like the smell of 2-4-D. I got dandelions. My neighbors, downwind, may not see it that wayâŚ.

I ordered tire for the trailer this morning, and then Robin said she was going to moms with me to pick up the yard. She hasn't been in moms house in two years. I mowed Robin picked up a truck load of limbs. I ran them through the shredder. That thing is the best $125.00 I ever spent for yard work.

I had plans to change the oil and filter on the lawnmower yesterday. Went to the shop and sat down on a stool next to the lawnmower. looked around for a bit and realized 3 light bulbs were burned out, so I got the ladder and changed those bulbs, then went back into the house. Might get to the lawnmower today. Might not.

We have mowed 3 times already. My wife mowed yesterday and some of it was really big after the week of rain. We are bordered with 2 farm fields and I am fairly certain that we are getting the âbenefitâ of fertilizer the farmers broadcast on their fields. Thanks!

Got in 2 hours, mowing, today. THen the tidybowl man touch struck, everything I touched turned to chit! Went to unhook an aerator from the k'boter, 2 fronts were low, so I went to air them up, as soon as they were up, noticed a back was low. hooked air hose to it, and figgered I'd screw a few rafters on the wagon I'm building, snapped off a #2 Phillips bit, went diggin in the drawer o bits, found one, and noticed the tire had gone down, not up, WTF?? tried moving it around to get it off the hill, a little, no dice, only succeeded in unseating the bead, goddam! started doin a little diagnostic on the compressor, AHA found it, had left the drain open, last time I used it! Shrugged it off, walked over to get the bead blaster, hooked it to the fixxed compressor, shot a few more screws inta the wagon, and find out the bead blaster tank airflow thingie was leaking a lot, so I turned that off, finally to build up pressure. jacked up the k'boter, slid the tire around on the rim, a little, tank was full, so I hooks the chuck to the tire and was headed for the tank, to really show that sumbitch not to to eff with me, when I heard a familiar thunk, as the beads seated, all by themself, cowed by the mere threat of me using that bead blaster on them... 2-1/2 hrs later, aerator was off, rototiller was on!

Gotta big ol swamp maple tree between the lane and the house. We park in the lane. I came out a few days ago with bird shit all over my truck. I moved it out from the tree and it's overhanging branches. Came out yesterday to bird shit all over the jeep. Side windows, mirrors and doors. Washed the shit off, and trimmed a half dozen limbs over the driveway today. G-son had his buggy further down the drive and hasn't been bothered- yet. Took SWMBO to town this evening to the fabric store, Wally World and to get some grub. Got home, and I noticed the G-son's car has been dive bombed. His windows were also down, and suddenly a robin hopped onto the door. Then, the mirror. And back inside the car. Aha!! Returning to the scene of the crime. We let G-son know and he ran out to take a look. That bird musta been building a shit load all day. It was all over the interior as well as the outside. Was he pissed, or what. Anyway, I pulled out a little Crosman I got at a sale, and took a potshot at the bird, but I musta missed. Oh, well. There's always tomorrow....may be fun to pop at him for a while. Oh, yeah. Who shot Cock Robin? I fergit how that story ended.....
