A doctor's primary purpose is to make you come back. Profit is primary. Patient care secondary.

Just got some bills for a colonoscopy. $483 for the cardiologist and $300 for a follow up to tell me a polyp was benign. Not sure I've seen the bill for the procedure yet. Talk about it getting stuck up yer ass....

Talk about it getting stuck up yer ass.... Having had stage 3 colo-rectal cancer I'm thinking you are getting by cheap. Even with good insurance thru work I have and still am paying bills that will follow me to my grave. I'm talking 6 figure numbers. Not to mention the life long lasting side effects of being carved on and chemo and radiation.

I am on Medicare and have supplemental insurance on top of that, so, I am paying out the wazoo every month, but, it does pay for butt scopes and that stuff. I have another policy that helps a lot on prescriptions, but, there is some money to pay on them, some of the new and improved stuff could be pretty expensive. Thank GOD I ain’t needing any of that, yet!

I might be color blind but I can smell shit when it hits me in the face. Makes a guy wunder why he even tries to be a human being.

Even with good insurance thru work I have and still am paying bills that will follow me to my grave. I'm talking 6 figure numbers. Not to mention the life long lasting side effects of being carved on and chemo and radiation. The chemo is a gift that just keeps on giving it seems. I do appreciate the fact that it seems to have had a major influence on my cancer it does seem to have some lasting effects. It's hard to imagine your toes and feet in general are numb yet they hurt. They are cold yet they burn. You can step on something and not feel it and all of a sudden it near puts you on you knees. Never had vertigo until right after the second treatment then the wheels came off. It would be bad for a seek and gradually get better over the next two weeks and start over again. Now it goes away for weeks to months then its back without warning. All this to say do the testing, its a literal pain in the ass but better than the alternative. I had done the colonoscopy regularly every 3 years for a log time but what got me was a very aggressive fast growing form. They say its gone and I hope it is, I am still an aggravating ass according the wife. She may be right.
