I went over to my Italian friends place to look at a project, and he was mowing grass, fairly new John Deere zero turn mower, but it sounded like a rock crusher. That was the reason for the ear muffs . so, I volunteered to fix it, 2 real noisy spindles. he went and got parts and I stopped back in this evening. Somehow he walked out of the dealer with only 2 bearings, so, I gotta go back in the morning……… it is pretty easy to work on, though, but the bearings just look a bit small for the size of the mower, maybe that’s why it’s easy to work on…

Yeahbut, it's arranging the belt back on that always baffles me.

I tried to not move the belts very much. I was able to just roll them out of the pulleys, working against a spring loaded idler. What I did worry about was putting the little belt guides back I the proper holes, so, when the bolt came out I took a wire and tied them back in the right place. It’s really funny how fast I can forget stuff like that…….
